What cohorts said after the boards went live

These notes reference actual modules from Location Pulse Studio and related workshops. Voices vary on purpose—including a few reservations.

The Pulse canvas exercise forced us to delete three vanity tiles our directors liked. Awkward politically, but Monday reviews now finish before the coffee cools.

★★★★☆ — “Exception ladders” module. Clearer escalation, still wish Module 1 had fewer inventory worksheets.

I joined for Corridor KPI Framing. We finally stopped mixing same-day fulfillment rates with next-day van completion on one gauge.

Solid teaching. The critique lab exposed that our “green” East Malaysia summary hid two branches offline for half the week. Not glamorous, very useful.

Case study

Fourteen pharmacies, one contested fill-rate chart

A Malaysian pharmacy chain entered Location Pulse Studio arguing about which fill-rate definition belonged on the executive slide. Finance used invoices; operations used shelf scans. During Module 3 they designed dual tiles with a shared denominator footnote and an exception ladder that paged district leads only after two consecutive amber windows.

Six weeks later, the chain reported fewer ad-hoc spreadsheet rebuilds—roughly 71% of weekly packs reused the studio board with light annotations. They still maintain a finance-only ledger view; the course never claimed to replace that.

Cold-chain vans and overnight stale tiles

A food distributor used the Night Watch add-on after Signal Desk. Their overnight board previously froze on the last successful ping, which looked “fine” until morning. Labeling stale tiles and writing shift-handoff captions reduced false all-clears during festive peaks.

One planner noted the facilitation moved quickly; they wanted more time on map projections. We agree—that sits outside the current syllabus.
